I’m Back!
I had my baby girl on 9/24/08. I only gained 30 lbs during pregnancy, and got up to 206. I’m now at 184, and my goal is 150. I know I can do it, but stopping the junk food is doing to be hard.

I had my baby girl on 9/24/08. I only gained 30 lbs during pregnancy, and got up to 206. I’m now at 184, and my goal is 150. I know I can do it, but stopping the junk food is doing to be hard.

I had my first doctor appointment, and they weighed me, of course. The scale said 174, which is a few pounds higher than my scale at home, of course. Anyway, I don’t think I gained 3 pounds, but I’m going to let the doctor scale be my official weigh in scale. I know I’m not going to lose any weight while I’m pregnant, but I’m hoping to NOT pass 200 pounds.

I’m Pregnant!
I’m hoping to lose a few more pounds before I gain like 35 (or more)… I know it’s not really good for you to lose weight when you’re pregnant, but I promise to eat healthy and take care of my little passenger! I’ve been drinking more water & taking my prenatal vitamins too! So, if my weight goes up… you now know why!

I haven’t been to the gym that much this week because my husband had my car, but when I went today & weighed myself, I was delightfully surprised that I’ve lost 2 pounds! That made me feel really good b/c I haven’t been to the gym, so I know I’ve been eating a little better. So I’ve taken off all the holiday weight… now I just want to lose 5 more pounds to make my mini-goal… I’m feeling pretty good about that!
I’ve been working out pretty regularly now. I live on a military base, so it’s free… which helps. The first few times I went I was totally tired afterward, but now I’m starting to enjoy it more & I am able to do more and go faster. I’ve started taking my 1 1/2 year old son to the daycare area at the gym. He hates it, but he’ll get used to it. I’m not going to let myself give up. I noticed my arms are a little bigger already, and I’ve lost one pound. I use the scale at the gym as my official weigh-in spot so I don’t obsess over it. I just need to make myself drink more water… and hopefully I’ll lose a few more pounds soon.

I went to my parents’ and my in-laws houses for the holidays & totally pigged out. It was sorta my plan though. I knew that I wanted to take my diet & exercise plan more seriously, so I set January 1st as my official start date. So I don’t really feel bad that I gained 3 pounds because I am going to be a good girl & work on taking it off. My main focus is my flabby mid-section… I have a “muffin top” and it grosses me out.

I’ve been to the gym a few times now. It’s always hard for me to get into working out, but I’m trying. I’ve signed my son up for the gym daycare, so I have no reason not to go. I know a big part of my weight loss plan will have to be my diet. I eat everything I see - I love food! So after the holidays, I’m going to do some more research on healthy, filling portions & stuff like that. I bought the Volumetrics book months ago & never even opened it. If anyone has had any success with Volumetrics, please let me know. I’ve also been talking to some of my friends about workouts, diets, and other stuff they’ve had success with. I need to lose 25 pounds. I know I’ll probably get pregnant before I get down to my ideal weight, but I’m still going to keep up with a healthy diet & exercise. OK, that’s it for now… thanks for reading!

Hello.
I’m hoping this will encourage me to lose some weight. I really don’t like to work out, and I LOVE food… I’m sure most of you can relate. I had a baby about 16 months ago, and I’m still hangin’ on to some of that weight. I plan on getting pregnant again soon, so my weight will probably go UP again… but if I keep up with this site, I’ll hopefully take better care of myself. So that’s that. Best of luck to everyone else & thanks for reading my 1st blog!
